1. At the end of the class, the students will be able to understand the sentences" We should and We should not" and can use them to express their opinions about the earth.
2. At the end of the class, the students will be able to retell one of the stories.
c. Aims of emotions.
1.At the end of the class, the students will be able to understand that " We should protect the earth" because the Earth is our mother.
2.At the end of the class, the students’ awareness of "protecting the earth" should be aroused and do something to protect the Earth in our daily life.
3.Enjoy the Picture story.

Step 1. Pre-reading

(1) Enjoy a picture story: A mother and her son.

   There was a rich mother. 

    She loved her son very much.

   The son grew up happily. 

   His mother was happy too.

   One day…

(3) Useful things on Earth will be less and less. 

   Earth is our home. We have only one Earth. What should we do?   

   I think “We should protect the Earth”.

   This is the topic of this unit. Let’s read together.

Step 2. While-reading

(1) We know we should protect the Earth, but how? 

   How to protect the Earth? Please think about it. 

(2)In the Story time, there are four ways to protect the Earth. Now, let’s watch a video of this part and find out the four ways to protect the Earth.

(3)Have you got the answers? Let’s check.

(1)This is our whole passage, from here we know to protect the Earth, we should save water, save energy, save trees and don’t use too much plastic.

Now, please work in four, each one chooses one part to read, then each one makes a report about your part by using “We should….,we shouldn’t…”.
