知识目标:  

1.    能听懂、会读、会说: What a nice ...! Make a wish. I want....It’s time to ...   

2.    能体会字母s的发音[s]  

技能目标:  

1.    能整体感知故事内容,理解课文的幽默之处。  

2.    能在教师的指导下用英语做游戏并在游戏中进行简单交际。  

3.  能对自己或他人在本节课的表现与收获进行客观的评价。  

情感目标:  

在小组活动中能与其它同学积及配合与合作;能体会到英语学习的乐趣。  

Focus of the lesson and predicted area of difficulty  

1.    能理解cartoon time 部分的意思,并能配合此部分内容进行表达。  

2.    能体会字母s的发音[s]  

Teaching procedures  

Step 1 Warm up  

1.    Get ready for class.:  

count numbers from 10 to 1, say: It’s time for class.   

2.    Enjoy the song: How old are you?  

3.    Review Part A: Do you remember how old old friends’ ages?  

4.    Try to sing the new song with Mike,Helen, Tim  

5.    Greet with Ss: How old are you?  

Step 2 Cartoon time  

1 . Learn: What a nice cake!  

2. Watch and answer:   How old is Sam?  

3. Read and say   

  (1) Ss try to read by themselves  

  (2) Read the cartoon the picture by the picture.  

  (3) Read after the tape / Read freely  

  (4) Imagin the monkey and the dog’s words, then B.W.  

  (4) Try to act   

Step 3 Sound time  

1.    Say a chant   

2.    Play games: Say the number before/ Say the next number.  

3.    Learn the rhyme of Sound time  

4.    Know the letter S in these words sounds /s/.  

5.    Try to say out some words with sound /s/  

6.    Try to read out some new words  

7.    Try to use the words to complete a sentence.  

Step 4 T   icking time  

Step 5 Homework  

1.    Read the cartoon time and Sound time after the tape .  

2.    Write down some words with the sound/s/  

3. Act the cartoon with your classmate.
