l aims on abilities:Can write an English letter.
l aims on emotion:Guide the students like to make more friends.

Teaching steps:
A .Warm up
1. Before class: listen to the song “forever friend”
2.Greeting
T: Do you have any friends? Who’s your friend?
3. Learn sentences: Strangers are friends that you have yet to meet.
Make more friends. You will know more around the world.
B.Presentation
1. 揭示本课所要解决的问题： How to make a penfriend?
T: I want to make a penfriend today. Would you like to join me?But how to make a penfriend? This is a big question. There are two small questions in it .So today we’ll go on learning “Unit 7 A letter to a penfriend.”
2. Learn Part D
How to know a penfriend?
（1）回忆课文T:How does Liu Tao know peter? (S: In the newspaper)
T: We can know a new penfriend from the radio, computer and magazines. We also can know a penfriend in the penfriend club.

Learning tips: a. Read in groups.Try to answer : What should we do here?(小组朗读，解决问题）
b.Read freely,complete the form on P58 of your English book.(自由朗读，完成书５８页信息表）
c. Look at Helen’s list. Try to introduce Helen.

How to contact with the penfriends?
( 1) How do we contact with our penfriends?
Ss: write letters /chat on QQ/ write e-mails/make calls
T: When we write a letter , what do we need?
Ss: some writing paper, stamps,an evenlope , some glue and address.
T: We also can sent a fax. ( Teach: fax machine/fax number)
(2) How to write an English letter?
a T: But now , in the classroom. We only can write a letter .Liu Tao is finish his letter . Let’s go and ask him.
(采用人机对话的形式Ss：Liu Tao, can you teach us how to write an English letter? Computer: OK. But I’m vert busy today . Can you help me? Ss practice Part C)

C. Make penfriends
1. Show some new penfriends infromation. Ask and answer

B: I’m going to tell him/her about my …
A: You will be good penfriends,I think.
