Unit 7 Protect the Earth (Story time)

教学目标:

  1. 能听懂、会读、会说protect, earth, save, useful, waste, reuse, energy, most, coal, wood, cut down, plastic, oil, so much.

  2. 能听懂,会读,会说日常交际用语We use… to… We should…. We shouldn’t…

  3. 能正确朗读文本,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

  4. 让学生了解保护地球的重要性,培养学生热爱地球,保护地球的意识,了解更多保护地球的方法。

    教学重难点:

  5. 对词汇和句型的理解。

  6. 能正确朗读文本,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

    教学过程

    Step1: Warming up

  7. Greeting and daily report

  8. Lead-in

    T: Boys and girls, do you like reading stories? Today I’ll tell you a story. Now let’s watch it.

     微课讲故事《A mother and her son

    T: What do you think of the son?

    Ss: He wants a lot of things.

    T: His mother gives more and more. Do you know who the son is? Who’s the mother?.

  9. Think and say

    T: Look, this is the Earth. What do you know about Earth?

    T: Look, the Earth is not as beautiful as before. So we should protect the earth. Right?

    (揭题) So today we’re going to learn Unit 7 Protect the Earth.

    Step2: Pre-reading

    T: Now let’s be the green guards to protect the Earth. OK?

    T: How can we become green guards? Look, here are some steps.

  10. We know how to protect the Earth from some parts

  11. We know the use of them

  12. We know the problems of them

  13. We know the solutions of the problems

  14. We can talk about protecting the Earth

    T: OK. Let’s go.

    Step3: While-reading

  15. Look and say

    T: Now let’s go to step one. Look at the pictures. People are doing bad things to the Earth. Can you give titles to the pictures? Think it over.

    T: Wow, you gave lots of titles. Now open your books and turn to page 68. Can you find the titles from the text?

    T: You did a good job on step one. Now can we find out the use of the four things?

  16. Watch and match

    T: Let’s watch the cartoon. Find out the use of four parts and match the phrases.

    Ss看卡通后进行短语配对组成句子。

    T: They are useful. (总结,教读useful) Let’s read them together.

    3.Scan and find.

    T: This time, please read part 2&3 quickly and fill in the blanks.

    4.Read and discuss

    T: They are useful. But we can’t use them too much. There are some problems with them. So let’s go to step 3. Read the passage again and discuss in pairs. Then try to find out their problems.

    T总结:In many places, there is not much water.

                    There is not much coal and oil.

                    People cut down too many trees.

                    People use too much plastic.

    5.Read, underline and fill in the blanks

    T: We know the problems. We should solve the problems. Please read the passage carefully and underline the solutions.  (学生读课文,划出文中解决方法的句子。)
    T: Can you find something in these sentences?

    Ss: We should… / We should not… Let’s finish the form according to the sentences you underlined.

    6. Reading time

    T: Let’s follow the tape. Please try to imitate the pronunciation and intonation.

    7.Retell according to the form

    T: We know the use, the problems and the solutions of the four parts. Can you choose one part to talk with your partners?

    T: Hello, boy.

    S: Hello.

    T: We use water to drink and clean. What should we do with water?

    Ss: We should reuse and save water. We should not waste water.

    T: Thank you. You can be a green guard now.

    T: Now, boys and girls. You can choose any part of the four to make dialogues with your partner.

  17. Read and think

    T: Earth is our home. We can protect the Earth from these four parts. But that’s not enough. We can do more. How can we protect the Earth?

    T: Yes, we can do a lot of things to protect the Earth. Boys and girls, start from me, start from now. Let’s be great green guards.                                                 

    Step 5:Homework:

  18. Read the story fluently and try to recite.

  19. Say something to your parents about how to protect the earth.
