一、教学目标:

1.能听懂、会说、会读日常交际用语及句型I can play basketball . Can you play basketball ? Can Mike…? 及回答Yes, I/ he can. No, I / he can’t.并能初步运用。

2.能主动表达NiceCoolGreat! Very well!Have a try!夸赞他人或鼓励他人。

3.能正确理解Story time故事,用较好的语音语调朗读对话,并尝试表演。

4.通过学习故事激发学生对运动的热爱,能用积极的方式参加运动。

二、教学重点:

正确理解故事,并会朗读。

三、教学难点:

能对句型Can …?作出正确应答。

四、教学准备:PPT,篮球,单词卡片

五、教学过程:

Step 1.Warming up

T: Let’s enjoy a song

Step 2.Free talk

T: Let’s guess what I’m doing.

1 做动作学生猜测eat, talk, run, shout, sleep, play table tennis…

2 教授新单词jump, swim, skate.

T: I can… Can you…?

S: Yes, I can./ No, I can’t.

3 Pair work

A Can you…?

B: Yes, I can./ No, I can’t.

4 做动作引出play basketball(教授: basketball),揭题Unit 4 I can play basketball

T: Can you play basketball ?

S: Yes, I can . / No , I can’t .(教授:can’t a—can’t)

Step 2.Story time

1.Watch and answer

(1)T:Now,I`m sure you can play basketball very well. What about our old friends ? Look at the picture. Who are they ?(板书)

Ss: Mike ,Wang Bing and Liu Tao.

T:Can they play basketball?

Can Wang Bing play basketball ?

Can Mike play basketball ?

Can Liu Tao play basketball ?

Let`s watch cartoons and try to find the answers .

(2)Watch cartoons and answer the questions:

TCan Wang Bing play basketball?

S: Yes, he can.(注意纠错 he can)

T:Can Wang Bing play basketball ?

S: Yes, he can.

T:Can Liu Tao play basketball ?

S: Yes/No. That’s your idea.

2. Read and answer

(1) Can Wang Bing play basketball well?(教授well)

S: Yes, he can.

T: How do you know?

S: Nice! (说出更多评价语)

Listen and repeat. (选几组学生演一演)

(2)Can Mike play basketball well ?

S: Yes, he can.

T: Can he play basketball well?  (他打得怎么样?)

Ss: Yes, he can play basketball very well. (学习very well)

T:  How do you know that? Which picture?

S: Picture2. ( He can play basketball very well. Cool!)

T:Let’s listen and repeat . (选几组学生演一演)

 (3)Can Liu Tao play basketball ?

T:Liu Tao is nervous at first , so he doesn’t think he can.

At that time , what does Mike say to Liu Tao?(学习have a try ,大组读,引导学生读出语气)

T: He tries to play basketball. He can play basketball at last . How can we praise him?(板书)

Great ! Let’s listen and repeat very well . (读出No, I can’t.Yeah, I can play basketball.的语气)

Step3.Summary

Today we read the story about WangBing, Mike and LiuTao. WangBing can play basketball . It’s nice! Mike can play basketball very well. It’s cool ! Liu Tao can’t play basketball at first , so we say : Have a try , LiuTao. At last, he can play basketball . It’s great .

Step4Homework

1.Listen and read the story ,try to recite it.

2.Act the story in groups.

3.Try to make a new dialogue about the girls.
