The Big Match

教材分析:

The Big Match 是《外研社丽声拼读故事会》系列的第三级中的第一本。故事讲述了鸭子队和狐狸队进行了一起足球比赛的故事。文本内容涉及含有辅音丛ck , ng的词,学生需顺利解码并理解单词在故事中的含义。
学情分析:

三年级经过一学年的学习已掌握26个字母的字母音,能够拼读CVC单词和CVCe单词。在二级绘本中初步接触到辅音丛ch,sh,th,ll, zz,ss等,在故事阅读中还仍需加强。针对学生的年龄特点,教师运用肢体动作与语言动作相结合的方式进行教学。
教学目标:
1. 能够独立、准确地拼读单词 Nick, Rick,quack,kick,Rex,Foxes, match                                           
2. 能够快速识别视觉词 here, come, the ,begun, ball
3. 通过观察图片,能够理解上下文的含义。
4. 培养预测能力、读图能力、推断能力及总结归纳的能力
5. 能够流利地、有感情地朗读全文。
6. 能够结合文本及自身经历,探讨比赛时遵守规则的重要性。 
教学重点、难点:
1. 对于个别辅音丛,如:ftlt等的发音教学。
2. 帮助学生提升阅读的流畅性。
3. 培养学生的推断能力及总结归纳的能力.
4. 学生用尝试用英文自信地、流畅地表达自己的想法。

教学流程:

Step 1 Warm-up

1.Free talk.

T: Hello, boys and girls. I’m your new English teacher today. I’m so happy to see you today. My name is Lucky. There are five letters in my name. Can you spell my name?

  S:L-u-c-k-y.

  T: Here ‘ck’ says [k]. I think you have known a lot about phonics.

2. Phonics match.

  T: Let’s have a phonics match between boys and girls. Let’s see who will win? [w-I- n].Let’s see more consonant clusters.(ck, ng ) Can you read them?

  Ss: Spell and read the words and sentences.

  …

  T: Let’s see. Oh, …., you win. Let’s say loudly, ’Yes. Yes.’

Step 2 Pre-reading

1.Cover-talk.

T: Today let’s read a picture book about a match. This is the cover, what do you know from the

cover? (Title, Writer, Characters…) The fox and the duck are fans. Do you know ‘fans’? I like ducks.

I’m a duck fan. What about you? Who wants to be a duck fan? Who wants to be a fox fan?

T: What do you want to know about the story?

S1:Who wins the match?

 S2: Who has the match?

     ….

Step 3 While-reading

1.Who wins the match? Let’s try to read this story and catch the answer. (Ducks win the match)

 So we know ducks and foxes have the big match.

2.How do the ducks win the match? Let’s go and watch.

   Page1: Read: Here come the fans. They are duck fansthey are fox fans.

   Page2-3: Read: Here come the six ducks. Who are the six ducks?  Here come the six foxes. Who are the six foxes? Read their names.

   Page4-5: Where are the duck fans? You can stand up, you can shout, you can quack.

           Where are the fox fans? You can stand up, you can shout, you can sing.

 Page6-9

   Page6: Read: The ref rings a bell. The match has begun. Look at the picture, who is the ref?    what is the bell? Who can be the ref?

   Page7-9: This is the first part of match,  read Page7-9, what’s the score? Read picture by picture.

 Page10-16

   The match is fierce. What happened then? Read page by page.

   Page10, who kicks the ball?

   Page11, Is he right? How does the Rick Duck feel?

Page12, How do the duck fans feel?

Page13, Is the ref angry too?

Read Page 14-16. This is the second part of the match.

Step 4 Post-reading

1.Now, open your book and enjoy the whole story.

2.Share your story in your groups.

3.Let’s show.

Step 5 Homework

1.Read the story fluently.

2.Tell the story to your parents.

3.Find the words that contain ck, ng in the story.
